Master Headjoint Maker of the Wm. S. Haynes Co., Aiven O’Leary, will present an interactive look into the headjoint making process presented through the Haynes University program.

Discover how slight changes on the headjoint can have a HUGE impact on your sound. Any questions that you’ve ever had about headjoints, headjoint making, and all of the aspects that go into the engine of your flute - Aiven will deliver the information!

Haynes has an illustrious history as one of the oldest and most sought-after flute makers in the United States. If you’ve ever been curious about what goes into making a flute, you will definitely not want to miss this event!

About Aiven O’Leary

Aiven O'Leary is currently the headjoint maker and General Manager for the Wm. S. Haynes Flute Company. She received her Master of Music degree in flute performance from Indiana University and her Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College. Her principal teachers have included Wendy Mehne, Claudia Anderson, and Kathryn Lukas. After graduating from Indiana University, Ms. O'Leary freelanced in the Boston area while teaching privately in Beverly, MA. She has served on the faculties of both the Indian Hill School of Music and Gordon College. Aiven has been a performing artist on The Jongen Project CD in “Elegie” for flute quartet.
