More about this Flute Teacher

Aloha, my name is Aoi Shinagawa and I have been playing the flute for over 10 years and am currently working as a public school music teacher. I enjoy working with students to help them reach their full potential. I received my Bachelor's of Education from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 2019 and am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Music Education at the university.

I currently offer flute lessons in-person in Hilo, HI. I am located in Paukaʻa (just past Honoliʻi) and offer lessons in my (cat-friendly) home.

I maintain an active membership in professional organizations such as the National Association for Music Educators, the Hawai’i Music Educators Association, and the Hawai'i Flute Society.

While HFS will do its best to connect Hawai’i flute students with local flute teachers, the responsibility for fulfillment and content of flute lessons, as well as safety, rests solely with the individual teachers. If you are a flute teacher in Hawai’i and would like to be listed in this directory, please consider becoming a member.
