Julia Richter is a professional flutist based in Honolulu, Hawaii where she is a member of the Royal Hawaiian Band. She also plays regularly with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and the Hawaii Opera Theatre. In a past life, Ms. Richter had an active freelance career in both Chicago & Milwaukee areas, performing with many groups including the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, and as a member with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra . She has previously held one-year positions as Piccolo/3 rd Flute with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Ms Richter was also the Director of Flute Choirs at the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra for several years, and continues to be involved in directing flute choirs here in Hawaii with the Hawaii Flute Society.
